Zing Muse – From an unimpressive meeting, to a love affair at a drinking table and then becoming husband and wife, the surprising love story of model Le Cong Son and DJ Huynh Nhu delighted Hong Van and the audience of ‘Newlyweds’.
The couple in the latest episode of the show Vo Chong Son is Le Cong Son (29 years old, freelance model) and his wife Nguyen Duong Huynh Nhu (26 years old, DJ). The two have been married for more than 2 years and have a 2-year-old son.
Sharing about the fate of their meeting, both said they met through a friend’s matchmaking. From the first time he saw Huynh Nhu’s photo on Facebook, Cong Son was attracted by her beautiful and sexy appearance. On the contrary, Huynh Nhu frankly said that the first time she met, she did not like Cong Son.
She said: “Looking at the photo, I thought he was very tall and big, but when I met him, he was very small. I thought it was not a good match, so in the middle of the movie, I asked to go home, determined that we did not know each other.”
However, it was Cong Son’s persistence that made her change her mind. “He kept begging to go out to eat, saying he was so hungry he couldn’t stand it. He asked me for the third time so I agreed to go with him. Unexpectedly, he took me straight to a drinking place, and we sat there from midnight to 6am,” the DJ humorously recalled.
Huynh Nhu added that through the conversation, she gradually developed a good impression of Cong Son. She even asked for leave from work to “drink all night long” with him for 7 consecutive days and they got to know each other from then on. Their feelings quickly blossomed, and after only half a month of knowing each other, Cong Son packed up and moved in with her.
Huynh Nhu admitted that she had been through several relationships before, but they all ended in conflict. As for Cong Son, he was always gentle, tolerant, and knew how to make her happy. The male model said he loved his wife because of her kindness, and even though he was a DJ, he knew how to keep himself. “She is very decent, dignified, beautiful and kind, so I ‘decided’ her right away,” he said.
After knowing each other for 5 months, the female DJ brought her boyfriend home to meet her family. At first, Huynh Nhu’s father did not agree because he was covered in tattoos. “My father saw that this guy was always joking around, thinking he was immature. But now the person who loves him the most is my father,” she said.
In their marriage, the two still maintain a sense of humor and sympathy for each other. Cong Son said that his wife has nothing to criticize, she is just a bit hot-tempered, jealous and sometimes “curses her husband”. However, for him, that is what makes the family happier.
“I don’t need my wife to change anything, just keep it that way. Because of that hot-temperedness, I love my wife. In the house, there must be one hot-tempered person for the family to be lively, if two people are silent, it will be very sad,” he humorously shared.
As for Huynh Nhu, she also did not hesitate to list a series of her husband’s “bad habits” such as being irritable when hungry, living a bit messy and being somewhat careless. However, both understand and accept each other’s true selves, together building a home filled with laughter.
At the end of the show, Cong Son surprised the two MCs and the audience when he suddenly proposed to his wife on live TV with a bracelet. Before the emotional moment, Huynh Nhu tearfully said: “I hope that we will be together until we are old. I love you too.”
